Troubleshooting Guide
This guide helps diagnose and resolve common issues with your Engage Core.
The Core is a reltively simple unit so troubleshooting is fairly basic.
🔌Unit powering down
If you find the unit is switching off after a short period of time (in some instances after 10 seconds) this will be down to your power bank. Many DO NOT support low power devices.
We can recommend any Anker Power bank that includes their ‘trickle charge’. For example the ANKER Ultra-Compact 5,200mAh or ANKER 323 Power bank 10,000mAh
🔊 No Audio Output
Firstly ensure the unit is not connected to a computer as no sound will be produced when connected like this.
Some speakers only work with particular types of aux cables. The one we provide should work with most speakers.
But the easiest test is to connect a pair of wired headphones if you have some connect to the Engage unit. If you get sound from these try replacing the aux cable.
🔘 Buttons Not Responding
If none of the buttons are working firstly confirm there is power to the unit. If looking down at the unit from the end the Micro USB connection terminates you should see a Green LED. If you don’t check the powerbank isn’t autoshutting down as per above.

If there is a Green LED the second check is to see if a Red LED illuminates near the Aux Input end when a button is pressed. This LED stays on for the duration of the audio file being played.
IE if its say Yes, the light will be on momentarilty compared to if the audio file is ‘This is the way’.
If you see this Red LED then the unit is working as expected. Please either try a different aux cable or speaker or test with some wired headphones as mentioned above.
If one or more (but not all) buttons are not working this could be a button or cable fault and will likely need to be visually inspected by us to replace or repair. If this is the case please contact support HERE.
